Friday March 16th Feeder SaleResults from the Special Back to Grass Roundup New Crop Calf/Yearling Sale Friday March 16th..
Here this past Friday we had a nice run of colored cattle selling 2,508 head on a market that very much mirrored two weeks ago.. We had alot of really nice cattle but the flesh condition and dirt has gotten much heavier in the past 30 days or so on these cattle.. The percentage of lightweight, front end grass type cattle is really drying up fast with the largest chunk of the sale being heavier weight cattle with a one way ticket to the feedyards..
The market remains good though and looks to continue as we move through spring..
The next Special Back to Grass Roundup New Crop Calf/Yearling Sale will be in two weeks Friday March 30th and will be the only Beef/Holstein Combination Sale of the spring.. Holsteins at 9am sharp with colored cattle to follow..
Thanks again to all Buyers/Sellers alike!
