Friday May 4th Beef Calf/Yearling SaleResults from the Special Back to Grass Roundup New Crop Beef Calf/Yearling Sale Friday May 4th.. Here this past Friday we had a really nice run of high quality cattle selling 2,190 head on a market that was $$ higher on many different weights and classes of cattle..
With Spring officially having sprung with green grass, the corn planters rolling, dwindling feeder cattle supplies across the country and a piping hot Fed Cattle Market trading for the week in a range of $125-$130 it brought a powerful set of buyers to town competing to take home these high quality cattle to fill pen needs before they know they will one day wake up and the luxury of volumes of quality feeder cattle will be gone until fall once again..
The quality was A-1 here and the competition was fierce for the properly handled cattle that were not over conditioned in flesh.. I have said cautiously for a long time that it looks like a remake coming of last spring/ summer and the reality is now unfolding just that way..
So if you have remaining cattle please give us a call as we have a couple big specials coming up soon and have plenty of buyer interest for these available high quality cattle..
The next Big Special Back to Grass New Crop Beef Calf/Yearling Sale will be in two weeks Friday May 18th at 9am sharp. This sale will also feature several Cow/Calf Pairs and Bred Cows.
Dont forget the Special Back to Grass All Holstein Steer/Dairy Cross Feeder Cattle Sale this coming Friday May 11th @9am sharp.
Drum roll Johnny!!
